The latest Women in Jazz Media magazine is now out!! Our 11th edition! 206 pages and nearly 100 women in this magazine and this doesn’t even touch the surface of the incredible women out there.

Our magazine is free, online and interactive. You can click on the album and book covers to go straight to the artist’s site to support and find out more. Accessible on all devices, due to the incredible photography, it is best viewed on an ipad or a large screen. You can also download as a pdf to read! All this is free and easy, you don’t have to sign up to anything, we just ask that if you find something you like, please share far and wide, and help to change the narrative.

Firstly, we must shout out to the incredible photographers in this edition whose stunning work brings everything to life. Our team members Enid Farber, Monika S Jakubowska and Tatiana Gorilovsk and the long list of guest photographers who have shared their work with us.

Fiona Ross talks to the inspirational Youn Sun Nah, who is also our brilliant cover woman, drummer Sylvia Cuenca talks to Isabel Marquez about ‘Life on the Bandstand’ , Hannah Horton is busy ‘Breaking Barriers with the Baritone’ and the award winning Canadian artist, Laila Biali shows us ‘The Beauty in Winter’. Our ‘On The Bookcase’ feature explores two books,  the new ‘Focus On Women in Jazz’ photography book from Guy Fonck and we also talk to Dr Alexis McGee about her From Blues To Beyoncé book.

Germana Stella la Sorsa interviews two incredible artists singer/songwriter Irene Serra and composer Claire Cope, Kim Cypher explores the work of Tamara Barschak in A Creative World of Kaleidoscopic Vibrancy and we shine a light on the Harmonious World of writer and podcaster Hilary Seabrook.

We are thrilled to have four guest contributors for this edition. The award winning journalist Jane Cornwell explores Women in Australian Jazz and interviews trumpeter/vocalist Audrey Powne, Jordannah Elizabeth shares some business strategies for musicians and Nick Lea shines a well overdue light on guitarist Emily Remler. And our brilliant guest curator for our playlist, Dr Bradley Stone, shares another fantastic playlist of 13 artists.
